Highlights of the July 2022 grading is now available to view. Just login and select 'Programmes'. I hope you enjoy it.
This grading took place on one of the hottest day for decades - the opposite of February's grading on what must surely have been one of the coldest days of the year. The attendees ranged from beginners to 5 candidates who undertook their 1st degree (black sash) gradings. The performances of the students were of an overall good standard with some exceptional forms (Taolu) and free sparring (Sanda). Results are now available and certificates have been presented to the successful students at the various classes attended, though many students are now on their holidays - hopefully not stuck in endless queues at the airports or Dover crossing to get to Europe.
It is with great pleasure that we can inform you that Kai Ward - one of the organisation's young representatives has won the Gold Medal at his first BCCMA competition. As part of our Chinese Boxing black sash instructors team it was a really satisfying outcome for him and Laoshi Nathan Bent, his fellow instructor and competition manager on the day. Sincere congratulations on a great performance - especially as he fought at a higher weight category due to a lack of opponents at his own weight. The next scheduled competition is in November (details to follow)
